Cinema Batalha: Um Argumento Esquecido

MANIFESTO

O projecto CineBatalha nasce de uma paixão comum pela sétima arte, partilhada por indivíduos com formação em diversas áreas.

O seu núcleo define-se pelo objectivo em dinamizar o emblemático edifício do Cinema Batalha, com a intenção de modificar uma situação de passividade que perdura há demasiado tempo e que não traz qualquer benefício à comunidade.

O facto de o edifício se manter encerrado provocou a indignação, de onde surgiu o diálogo construtivo e a determinante vontade de levar a cabo uma intervenção de sensibilização.

Pretende-se chamar a atenção para a potencialidade do Cinema Batalha através de um processo colaborativo, onde qualquer entidade ou indivíduo, consciente desta situação, possa vir a contribuir para a mudança.

E esse é o objectivo deste projecto – lançar o mote para uma vital dinamização de um dos edifícios marcantes da cidade do Porto, cidade que viu nascer o cinema Português.

CineBatalha is a project born from a shared passion for the 7^th art which comes from people with various professional backgrounds.

Its basic principle is defined by the will to dynamize the emblematic building Cinema Batalha, looking to change its current passive situation, that has endured for too long, bringing no benefits for the community.

The fact that the building was closed down stirred indignation, which caused constructive dialogue and the will to carry out an awareness intervention.

Our intention is therefore to direct attention to the potential of this building, working within a collaborative effort where both institutions and individuals may contribute to its development.

That is thus the primary goal of this project – setting ground for a vital intervention directed at one of the most outstanding buildings of Oporto, home town of Portuguese cinema.
